The photo motherload!!!
Today's trip was from Panama City FL to Port Barre LA where Greg's dad lives. We took the scenic route, along the coastline for most of the day. We passed by the USAF Special Ops base (Hurlburt) and tried to get into the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola (it was closed and the guard had a sidearm...), but they were closed (we took a shot of the gate guard Grumman Tiger. Yeah, just like ours.) We also stopped at the USS Alabama Park, which had several aircraft in addition to the battleship and the USS Drum WW2 submarine.
As we approached New Orleans we decided to go visit two places where Greg used to live: Algiers LA on the West Bank of the MS River and Houma LA, way to the south.
We arrived, safe and sound, in Port Barre. The last photos are of Greg's dad and two sisters, and nieces and nephews (there's only four of them but it seems like a LOT more...) and three dogs.
We'll hang out here for a few days, eat and talk a lot. The plan is to grab to a flight home on Thursday.
Aw, man, I'm still on vacation!

Would you believe that you can lose your license if you pump gas and drive
off? As if the threat of criminal prosecution weren't enough...
This was on most major stations' pumps in FL.

Welcome to Mississippi (did I spel that correctly...?)
A NASA facility right on the border of Louisiana. Neither of us thought to write it's name down, but it's where the shuttle sim is.
