GATM Archived Web Sites

Where the time and money went...

Back in the day, we purchased domain name and maintained web pages for providing personal info, photos, and family updates. This was before social media so it was the thing to do in the 90s and later...

Today, however, things have changed (and purposes have gone away). People have migrated to social media, Facebook, Instagram, Tick-Tock instead of looking for consistent updated media to consume. Web pages are just not the mindless scroll-scroll-scroll push-feeds that people prefer with those social media. Instead, web pages require someone to actively seek you out to see what you have to say.

Web pages have become, basically, a modern version of the old Yellow Pages where you grab some basic info and consume information elsewhere.

As a result, we've let these domain names go, counting on other means of communication. Herein lies the archives of these web sites, hopefully to be enjoyed by those that prefer it, as well as getting archived for, I hope, eternity in https://archive.org/ (nothing is ever lost on the Internet. You should donate to that foundation regularly, we do).

It actually has been hard to mentally let go of these domains and web sites, and especially those 4-letter domain that I've owned for a quarter century (or more). I still believe, as many of you likely still do, that this a better medium of arching stuff to be accessed later, and much more easily. So we're keeping it alive.

We'll keep Thea's main domain name alive as long as we are, well, alive, but at some point that, too, will be lost. But at least we'll live on in The Web Archive...

Anyway, here's a list of archived web sites for which we've released the domains to other parties (or just let them expire). Enjoy!
